Two patients share their emotional journeys as advancements in cardiac technology enable a less invasive pacing option and quicker return to routine life
Gurugram, September 15, 2026: Narayana Hospital, Gurugram, has successfully performed leadless pacemaker implantations in two patients, highlighting the evolving role of advanced cardiac technologies in offering less invasive treatment options for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
As part of a post-procedure interaction, the two patients shared their personal and emotional journeys from their initial diagnosis and concerns surrounding treatment to undergoing the procedure and recovering. Unlike conventional pacemakers, leadless pacemakers are compact devices implanted directly within the heart and do not require pacing leads or a surgical pocket beneath the skin. Following the procedures, both patients were able to return home as early as the next day, subject to their clinical condition.
